Best Camping Spots in Australia
Do you fancy a trip to the desert, beach, hinterland or maybe the rainforest? Here is some of the best spots to check out in Australia:
Desert
Ayers Rock Campground – while you can’t stay in the national park itself, this campground is nearby and includes a pool, playground, barbecue facilities, outdoor kitchen and laundry. It’s also great for anyone wanting to check out our country’s famous rock!
Beach
Inskip Peninsula, Rainbow Beach – We believe it’s the best beach 4WDing in South East Queensland. It’s a stunning location but you need to keep in mind the high tide. Anyone can enjoy this location and it can be packed over busy times.
Hinterland
Grampians National Park, Victoria – Amazing hikes and bushwalking which can be quite rugged. You’ll get to see beautiful animals and wildlife but also enjoy fishing, canoeing and kayaking at Lake Wartook, Lake Bellfield and Moora Moora Reservoir, just to name a few! Most are unpowered sites. This is probably one for more experienced campers.
Rainforest
Charlie Moreland, Sunshine Coast Hinterland – Close to home and just a 2 hour drive from Brisbane. As well as swimming in the beautiful creek, you can also kayak or bring your inflatable boat along for a ride. Open fires are allowed here. It’s a great spot for the kids. Bushwalking is also a must on your “to do” list.
Hitting the road in a Jawa Camper
Most of the campers in our range can take you pretty much anywhere, as long as you have the experience to suit the terrain.
Depending on which camper suits you best, most of our range have an ensuite and all have cooking facilities, fridges, inverters, solar panels and so much more. You can go on a trip to most parts of Australia and be self-sufficient.
