Seasoned campers know that the best caravan holidays are the ones that feel like you could stay on the road forever. The best way to achieve this is to choose hybrid caravans with all the creature comforts you need in a home away from home.
One of the most important elements is the caravan kitchen. External kitchens are your ticket to blissful alfresco living, and internal kitchens provide comfort and convenience in any weather. So which one suits your camping style best?
At JAWA, we’ve designed our camper range to make cooking on the road a breeze. Read on to learn more about JAWA caravan kitchens.
Which JAWA Caravan Kitchen is Right For You?
The JAWA caravan range caters to a variety of cooking styles, allowing you to prioritise alfresco living with an external kitchen set-up, or enjoy the convenience of preparing meals out of the elements with an internal kitchen. Whatever you prefer, JAWA caravan kitchens come with high-quality appliances and functional design elements that make cooking a breeze.
The key to choosing the right caravan kitchen is to know what you want and need. Grey nomads may have vastly different requirements than a family of five, so take the time to think about your kitchen must-haves.
Things to consider include:
Do you want to cook indoors, outdoors or both?
How much counter space do you need for preparing meals and stacking dishes?
How many cooktop burners will you need?
Is an oven necessary?
How much pantry storage will you need?
What are your fridge and freezer requirements?
Do you want an internal sink?
External Kitchens Designed For Alfresco Living
There’s no better way to embrace the full camping experience than with a slide out kitchen caravan – and JAWA has nailed the design! Our easy set-up outdoor kitchens free up internal living space and keep cooking smells outside, so you’ll enjoy maximum comfort when indoors.
Our external kitchens deliver heaps of space to prepare, cook, and wash up. Take our award-winning 15ft electric pop top, Sirocco Grande. In addition to the 4-burner gas cooktop, 95L Evakool fridge/freezer and huge storage boxes, the external kitchen features a full wall pantry that can be locked overnight without needing to pack away the slide-out sink and draining board as well. The full-size water-resistant canvas annexe ensures you stay protected while cooking.
For an easy tow, easy stow option, the compact Lowdown 13 Escape is a winner. The slide-out kitchen comes with a four-burner cooktop, stainless steel sink and dish rack, and extended prep bench. A surprisingly spacious pantry, 95L fridge/freezer and 4m wind-out awning add to the convenience and comfort. The 24inch smart TV will keep you entertained as you cook.

Indoor Caravan Kitchens For Any Weather Cooking
At JAWA, we’re dedicated campers who travel the open roads come rain or shine. And it’s on the rainy days when we really appreciate a fully functional indoor kitchen, like the one in our new 21.6ft family van, the Eclipse. Preparing meals is a pleasure with the Thetford caravan oven and four-burner gas cooktop with rangehood, internal sink, large upright fridge and freezer, and 20L microwave. You’ll feel right at home, albeit in cosier quarters – but that’s half the fun!
Looking for a couple’s caravan with internal cooking? The Retreat Escape is kitted out with an induction cooktop and sink, upright fridge, and a seriously roomy dinette (which can be converted into a bed if you’re bringing an extra traveller along). Being a hardtop caravan, there’s loads of overhead storage, and the open plan living design feels airy and spacious, so even when the weather is miserable, you’ll be blissful!
JAWA campers come with premium dust reduction systems and internal heating and cooling as standard, ensuring your total comfort whilst indoors.
Dual Kitchen Convenience
For those who want the best of both worlds, choose a JAWA caravan with dual kitchen functionality. For small families, the Infinity 15 offers incredible alfresco cooking facilities with the convenience of an internal induction cooktop and sink. For duos, the Commander has a sweet internal kitchen setup with an induction cooktop and rangehood, microwave and a 110L fridge.

Caravan Kitchens Powered For Off-Grid Living
JAWA caravans are designed to go anywhere – and cook anywhere, too! You can power the standard inclusion high-quality appliances with 600W solar panels and lithium batteries, and with generous water storage capabilities, you’re free to extend your trip to remote areas where self-sufficiency is a must.
Our commitment to affordability means our hybrid caravans are constructed in China, but all hydraulics, plumbing and electrical installations are carried out in our Australian workshop, so you can be assured of the highest standards.
