JAWA Campers Top 5 Tips for Caravan and Camping Shows

1. Get your timing right!

Afternoons are often the best time to visit a show, some exhibition grounds don’t close until 6pm on the weekends, and they are normally dead by 3pm.

You’ll be able to look through all the caravans and speak to the company reps without interruption, or pushing through crowds of people.

2. Don’t get stumped for questions

Write down what you want to know about each product or model in advance, there is nothing worse than having nothing more to ask, until you get back to the car where you suddenly remember all 20 questions you had.  Take a pen and paper to write down the answers and If you want tips on what to ask about a hybrid caravan see this blog.

3. Know where you are going

Don’t spend valuable time going back over places you have already been looking for the vendors you want, download a copy of the expo map if possible and mark off the exhibitors you are wanting to see, this can help you plan your route and make the most of your time.

4. Buy your tickets in advance

Buying your tickets in advance can be beneficial in a few ways. Firstly, they can save you money, often online tickets will be slightly cheaper than buying them at the gate.

Secondly, there is often express entry available at the gates for those that have already purchased tickets, so this is another way to skip the crowds.

5. Plan ahead

Before leaving, plan what can you spend and be as ready as you can with financing, decide who is coming and who is going to have input in the purchase and make some time for everyone to have a look around, you never know what surprises are around.
