Don’t be left stranded on your next trip. Pack these 8 essential items to ensure you don’t get caught out in the middle of nowhere;

1. WD-40 – A lifesaver in almost any situation! If you have something you just can’t get moving, WD-40 has been the go-to around Australia for decades. Keeping a can within easy reach in your toolbox can get you out of any tough situation.
2. Zip ties – If you need to temporarily keep something in place, very few things are as effective or quick as zip ties.
3. Duct tape – Whether you need to waterproof some canvas or seal a door, a roll of duct tape can come in handy to fix issues quickly.
4. Spare rags – If emergency repairs need to be made to your engine, and you need to  clean a part or remove something hot safely, having a spare rag around can save the good beach towels from a dirty fate.
5. Extra bulbs – When you’re in the middle of nowhere with only the moon as your light, finding a bulb for your headlights or break lights is a real struggle. Have a spare bulb or two easily accessible to ensure you arrive at your next destination safe and sound.
6. Air compressor – If you’re going offroad, it is highly recommended to let your tyre pressure down. Ensure you can re-inflate them afterwards by having an air compressor in your car.
7. Spare batteries – For torches, cars or even remotes, having a spare set of batteries can make the difference between being stuck on the side of the road in the dark and an enjoyable holiday.
